I haven't had cable in awhile, streaming options are so much better.

But at the same time they have to make their money and advertising is probably the best way to do that. At least I think. I could be wrong, it's rare but it happens.

I agree...Netflix and Amazon Prime have spoiled my wife and I. I rarely watch anything live now (except for news and sports), even if I am around when one of my shows is on. We DVR everything we want to watch on network TV, then blast through the commercials.

It is actually to the point where we have bought shows on Amazon in order to avoid having to fast forward through the commercials (in addition to having problems with programming timing).

Commercials superimposed on the football field during a game is annoying, but I am afraid that it is not going to go back....brave new world LOL.

They're considering adding ads/logos to NFL jerseys much like soccer has, too.

My problem with this is the obvious: Football stops every 2 minutes of play for a commercial... this sh** isn't needed. They even added TV timeouts.. to play more commercials.

In soccer, I don't care that part of the uniform is an ad or that they're along the sides of the field.... It lasts for 45 mins at a time with no commercial breaks. That makes sense.

    But the NFL? No excuse.

The NFL is the product. You put NFL in a commercial not commercials on a field.
You don't advertise for Pepsi on the side of a Coke can..
