No, its hard to take someone seriously who likes gross matos more than epenesa for our team.

Like how many mel kiper and Todd mccshsy mock drsfts have u watched? I would say use your own thoughts instead of others, but i know thinking isn't your strong point so just keep doing u little buddy...time tells everything

And as for paxton, its called rooting for someone from your alma mater. Something u wouldn't know about.

Yea no dont be doing that

Attaching your name to sucky QBs is a bad look

Now youre doing it with CBs and edge guys apparently

And no one can recall you saying something intelligent, you just shoot straight to slandering the opposition when youre ideas are called out cause you dont think things thru

Don't care for Gladley and Gross Matos. Matos reminds me of Aaron Maybin to the fullest.

I'd honestly be fine with anyone except them 2.

I'm a Penn State fan. Gross Matos is a beast.

I think there are some concerns, but every criticism of him on this board has been pretty much the opposite of what I've watched the last 3 years.

He's raw and he needs to work on some technique things, but he is a high motor guy, he's better against the run than he is as a pass rusher, and he is a long 6'5", 265 dude that has reportedly ran a 4.52. And he was super productive at the highest level of college football.

Penn State was thin on interior guys and stacked with edge guys, so he was asked to play inside a lot and contain a lot. He also got banged up a lot as a result. He was better as a sophomore than as a junior.

If you can teach him how to use his power and explosiveness and get him in free space, he will be an absolute beast.

Don't agree with that one either.

Maybin was nothing but a pass rushing specialist at Penn State. He didn't even start. He was behind Maurice Evans. His draft stock blew up because he was able to put on a bunch of weight in draft season. Then he couldn't keep it as a pro. Google about his metabolism. He'd put on all this muscle and weight in the offseason and be like 240 and then he'd be back down to like 218 by the start of the season.

Look at Gross Matos's TFL's at Penn State. He was a much more versatile college player.

Primary guy that I don't want is Austin Jackson.

I agree, they don't play the same. I compared him to Maybin as far as having bust potential written all over him. I wish I could find a past post I said about Maybin on here, because there were a few posters that wanted him when he came out of Penn State and I knew he would be a bust.

Gross Mato's would be somewhat effective as a 4-3 DE. I just don't think he would fit well in our defense. I'd say add a little bit more weight and he could be another Carlos Dunlap (which isn't bad).

I didn't necessarily think Maybin would be a bust, but I thought it was a big mistake to come out as a RS Sophomore. I knew he would really need the right situation. And he was a decent situational rusher for the Jets at one point, so I think it could have worked out different.

See, I think YGM would be a really nice fit for us, though I definitely can see why one might think he is only a 4-3 DE fit. If we are comparing him to Penn State guys, I see more of a slightly longer Tamba Hali, who thrived in both systems, though he was never the best cover guy.

With that said, I think Landry/Correa/Beasley/Roberson is enough, so I think someone at a different position would contribute more immediately.
