Gunny, you're not part of earth. You're in Australia. Anyway, it's common marketing. If a product will sell, it will continue. If people will watch, they'll make another. Doesn't matter what the original story is. It never has mattered. They'll make 3 more matrix movies. 5 more star wars movies. And unfortunately, at least 1 more potter movie. Even if they're spin-offs, they'll be made.
Speaking of joining earth, this has been happening for YEARS.

 

Well, they're making two more potter movies.

Not saying that those things can't or won't happen, but I think more matrix movies are highly unlikely. Same with potter movies beyond the series of 7. With the matrix, I think it's worn off, with potter, I think the author won't write more. She at least seems to care about the integrity of the series, and she's made far more money than she ever expected to.

 

Give it a few years. Those movies will reach australia. You guys got Jaws 3 yet? Star Wars the Last Emperors Last Next to Last Reign, Godzilla 13, Friday the 28th, Lord of the Ring's Inner Ring, and more will be out soon.

 

...or he's blowing a fortune on cards and flowers.
