  1. dude trust me ive been preaching finnegan the whole year, and people still think that we should go get another person, finnegan is an absolute beast and showed it against philly, which was a very good team with a great qb (garcia for most of the game) and he didnt give up anything, finnegan would be a shutdown corner if given the oppurtunity and from the one he has been given, he has proven that he is an elite corner IMHO

  2. watch the eagles game and tell me he cant play corner

you can't take one game against a team without their starting qb and say he is the second coming. carlos hall(also a 7th round pick) had three sacks against the eagles in his first game and has had 11.5 since then.

You obviously can't judge a player based on a single game, but we watched him for a full season, and I'll tell ya what: Cortland Finnegan is the real deal, folks. All he does is make plays, week after week....and what's more, he doesn't give up big plays.

He does a great job defending against plays in front of him, yet he's quick enough to turn and run step-for-step with receivers. He's probably the Titans' second-best DB against the run, just a tad behind Hope.

My prediction: barring a major FA signing, Finnegan will be starting opposite Pacman next year, and Fuller will be the nickel. Reynaldo has the physical skills to be a starter, but he gives up too many big plays. If the Titans can upgrade the starting position (either Finnegan or a free agent), Reynaldo would be one of the top #3 corners in the league, and the Titans would have some ridiculous depth in the secondary.

I'd love to give Finnegan a chance at starter. But if that doesn't work, than what?
