any lawyer worth their salt can use that to get Josh Gordon's suspension down to a few games.

If it goes through do not think Gordon will need the lawyer. League will probably just do it anyway.

I doubt the league will go back and redo his punishment even if they changed their policy. The NFL is all about protecting their process, at the end of the day they will simply state that:

"Even though our intentions are to revamp our current drug policies including actions the league can take against offenders, Gordon's punishment aligns with the policies during the timeframe in which the violation occurred."

Or some other BS statement lol

IMO... this is BS. it is still illegal in the majority of states.. and employers in all trades still fire people daily for use.

I am just picturing idiots like Kenny Britt lighting up a fat one for some Instagram pictures. This is a bad idea.

oh yeah. big time. Everybody in "the know" knows that pee testing first and foremost done to catch pot users, since it stays in your system for such a long time. A distant second is the pharmaceutical stuff.

The DOT (in charge of all commercial drivers, air and boat pilots and crew) is the authority on drug testing here in the USA, and I don't see them removing THC as one of their 5 categories anytime soon. And as the DOT goes, everything else goes.

Well yeah, we got that for those positions. But that is about it. Most jobs do no drug testing at all.

yeah, in the US.. you get drug tested for literally almost any job. You would be hard pressed to find a non minimum wage type job that doesn't drug test.

From my experience in drug testing, it is a good way to eliminate POS people, for the most part.

In general, the people that fail are the scummy people who you don't want working for you anyway. It may be an unfair generalization, but from what I've seen here, it's the truth.

I'm sure there are tons of people who are reliable who do drugs of some sort. I just don't seem to see them here. Most smart pot smokers know to get clean for a few weeks before applying for jobs.. Dumb#%%es don't get the memo..
