    I could've designed you one. That ones cool though. Are you planning on doing the rest of the logo later or leaving it as is? It'd be sweet if you ran the logo's flames toward the upper chest, or you could even turn it and go up to the top of the shoulder.

    it was my first yeah, i got it a month after i turned 18. i was originally going to get the sword logo filled in like an American flag, but the artist changed my mind and we came up with this. I don't want the flames, but I'm currently thinking of a word to get right underneath it. I'm thinking "determination" or some cool word like that, ideas would be greatly appreciated. If someone gives me a good one, I'll legitimately get it tattooed within the next couple of months

    This isn't 1962 and people aren't getting too many jail-cell bible-paper tattoos anymore. The equipment has been perfected and tat-blur isn't much of an issue these days. I'm half-sleeved on both arms starting with tats done back in 86 & 87. No blur - no drift.

    That said, in response to:
    I cringe... You'd better be 100% IN LOVE with the art you're getting. Casually choosing tattoo art can and will be something you'll regret later. Been there...

    it depends on how much detail and the colors you get. getting the sword filled with the american flag would have looked terrible to begin with and in ten years it would have looked even worse, especially with the shading needed to give the sword that third dimensional look.
