New QBR

It just goes to show you that playing KFC over VY wasn't a good personnel decision by Fisher. KFC is probably the worst QB in the league and still would have been even if he was in camp all off season.

Well if it has KFC ranked dead last then it's clearly extremely reliable and accurate.

 

I love the new QBR rating... it might need a bit of tweaking but it makes so much more sense to me. A 20 yard completion on 3rd and 25 when you're down by 3 TDs in the 4th isn't nearly as valuable as a 3 yard completion on 3rd & 2 in the redzone with 1:00 left in the 4th. The new ratings give a much better measure of what really counts, IMO.

 

only issue I got with it, at this point, is that I cannot caculate the stat at home. Lots of subjective parts IMO.

Still the QB rating did/does a good job of measuring what it was meant too measure which is not 'QB Rating" but PASSER Rating. The stat has been misused almost as soon as it was created.
