What Garrett did is unacceptable and cannot be justified by any means. He deserves 6 game suspension.

However, if I understand it correctly, the Steelers QB committed the first personal foul by grabbing and twisting Garrett's facemask in the pile. Then DeCastro and Pouncy came in as things were escalating and started grabbing and shoving Garrett.

My point is that there is a reason that Garrett doesn't have a history this sort of thing. He knows he lost it, knows that is unacceptable. But the Steelers shouldn't be coming off like Garrett wasn't provoked by Rudolph to begin with and that DeCastro and Pouncy are blameless in the escalation of the situation. Without the two of their behavior, no way this escalates into what Garrett did.

I counted 2 punches and a kick from him.
Absolutely should be suspended. Retaliation is not grounds for game on trying to fight.

eh, this was a helmet coming down on a dude's head, could've caused spinal injury

bit worse than a cut face

Worth pointing out Larry Ogunjobi is a punk for leveling Rudolph from behind when he had no helmet on, hope he gets suspended a while too

Steelers in general also have a long history of being the cheap-shot dirtiest team in the league.
That’s a separate issue but I think tomlin absolutely encourages that crap.

Garrett is an absolute monster in comparison though. You cant retaliate like that.

There is good video at around the 6:30 mark. I dont see Rudolph doing anything to cause that. Myles was roughing him up on the ground and that alone should have been a personal foul, then grabs him by the facemask as he is getting up.

And from that angle (which is pretty clear) there was no nut kick. Looks like he was using his foot to push Myles off of him.

Strongly disagree. Punching and kicking has no place there.
The guy that held Garrett and ultimately took him down and held him was correct.
