For one, Garrett doesn't get the benefit of the doubt when he's developed a history as a dirty player.

Secondly, players remember these events. You don't think Mason wasn't keenly aware Garrett ended Seimian's season due to a late hit?

I watched the Siemian hit a few times. I'm fine with that being a penalty and the injury is unfortunate, but it looks like a football play. He puts his head down before the ball comes out and is half a step to 1 step too late.

Are we at the point where we call anyone that gets a pre-snap penalty a cheater?

and that is relevant to this incident how?

You just admit that you're biased with a statement such as that.

Has NO bearing on whether Rudolph and others have some culpability in this incident.

Garrett got what he deserved, but Rudolph should have been given at least a one game suspension, along with a fine as well.

Im not biased at all towards him

The guy starts stuff all the time, simple as that. The extra stuff is what got Rudolph going after him to begin with

You need to rewatch the “tackle”. Garrett doesn’t even land on top of him. Rudolph is pulled down on top of Garrett then kind of rolls to the side where Rudolph is reaching around Garrett’s helmet to pull it off. He pulled hard enough that Garrett’s helmet almost came off, Thanos gauntlet style, when “quill” aka decastro pulls Garrett back.

In general, that would be a tricky tack roughing penalty and if called, fans would have used that as just another “NFL is too soft” argument. Weak penalty at best and I’m glad the refs had no intention of calling it.

No. Not at all do I think Rudolph was even remotely thinking about that. I think he was pissed that he got sacked the 2 plays before that one and got take. Down for a third straight play on what equaled a super s***ty night for him. He was frustrated and tried to pick a fight. He lost.

That may be true, just not in this instance.
Who knows if there was verbal crap throughout the game or even on that play. The play itself by Garrett was fine and nothing noteworthy until Rudolph started his hissy.
