Head coach: Fewell (I’d be decently happy with any of the coaches were interviewing)

Re-sign: Hall, Kern, Shaw, Velasco, Otto, Ford, Thornton (for cheap) and Tulloch.

Do not re-sign: Babin, Ball, Allred, Bailey, Collins, Douglas, Hood, Moss, Nickey, and Scaife.

Release: Justin Gage & Ryan Mouton

Sign FAs: Daryn Colledge (LG) & Mike Sims-Walker.

    Trades:
5th Rounder (from ’11 & Comp Based pick in ’12 (5-7), Fuller, and Haye for Kyle Orton. Why? Titans get a QB who can start while Ponder develops. Broncos safeties are old: Dawkins 37 and Hill 32. Their DL is also old. Fuller could start safety and Haye would get some time.

Titans trade VY to Vikings for a 5th rounder.

Titans trade 1st & 6th for Lions 1st, 2nd, 4th. (Lions trade up for Prince Amkumara)

Then I’ll say we get a 6th round comp pick (Bulluck & KVB)

1st Round (#13 from Lions) – DE: Quinn, Jordan, Clayborn, Kerrigan, Watt, or Heyward
    2nd Round (#39) – Stephen Paea (DT – 6’1 295)
    2nd Round (#44 from Lions)- DeAndre McDaniel (SS – 6’0 213)
    3rd Round – (#77) Christian Ponder (QB – 6’2 222)
    4th Round (#106 from Lions) – Kelvin Sheppard (LB – 6’2 250)
    4th Round (#108) – John Moffitt (OG – 6’4 315)
    5th Round (#135 from Vikings) – John Clay (RB – 6’1 248)
    6th Round Comp - Lee Smith (TE – 6’6 269)
    7th Round (200) – Jonas Mouton (OLB – 6’2 240)

I don't really love taking a CB 1st round. Finnegan, Verner, and McCourty are decent. I wouldn't HATE taking a corner, but I think we have other options. With this draft we get a legit DE, to pair with Morgan. McDaniel will eventually replace Hope. Paea will be our 3rd string DT, but will see a lot of time behind JJ and Brown. Ponder could/should be our future QB and Kelvin Sheppard will provide great depth. Clay could be our potential power back.

    2011 Depth Chart:
QB: Orton | Ponder | Smith
    RB: CJ2K | Clay | Ringer
    FB: Hall
    WR: Britt | Sims-Walker | Williams | Washington | Mariani
    TE: Cook | Stevens | L. Smith
    LT: Roos | Kropog
LG: Colledge | Velasco | Moffitt
    C: Amano | Velasco
RG: Scott | Velasco | Moffitt
    RT: Stewart | Otto

DE: Morgan | Ford | Hall Davis (he’s on our practice squad)
DT: Jones | Brown | Paea | Marks
    DE: 1st Round | Hayes | Davis
    OLB: McRath | Thornton
MLB: Tulloch | Sheppard | Shaw
    OLB: Witherspoon | Curran
CB: Finnegan | Verner | McCourty | Hood
SS: Hope | McDaniel | Rolle
    FS: Griffin | Johnson
    K: Bironas
    P: Kern

keeping amano/velasco? really? also, a certain mouton has made me hate any football player with that last name. Hood? Rod Hood? Isn't he supposed to be our defensive messiah. We should draft all USC/UT players.

John Clay makes a lot of sense on paper, but that guy was ALWAYS banged up at Wisconsin.

...kinda like Sen'derrick Marks at Auburn... and that trend continued here.
