I went through each teams rosters and researched there biggest needs. TBH the Titans were the hardest pick to make because it could go in almost any direction. The reason I picked Mingo is I couldn't see us taking Cooper at 10 especially when Warfield will be available in the 2nd, then I thought CB. Rhodes would be a great addition, but we spent a lot of money in the secondary this off season. Then I thought maybe Ogletree. ILB doesn't make sense here unless we trade back and take him later in the first. Now to the elephant in the room WR. Some are chanting for Patterson here, but I can't see us taking a WR in the 1st, 2 years in a row. We're not the lions. Hence how I came to Mingo. What's everyones thoughts.
Trade down....... I'll be pissed if the Jets take Star one pick before us. I could see us taking Mingo, I really like his upside.
It happens to us almost every year that someone takes who we really want the pick before us. The only difference is its not the Giants this time.
I think there is a 0.0% chance that Detroit passes on Fisher is he is there after they lost both of they're starting OT's this year. They Suh which will make any DE look decent but unless they keep Stafford vertical they won't win a single game. Also I don't think the Eagles will take Smith #4 overall but who knows.
But for real, there is a chance. No such thing as a lock in this draft, Lions could easily go DE as they currently have: Ronnell Lewis & Willie Young as their DEs. They gotta find a pass rush or that secondary will get dominated.
I agree Mingo will be a bust. I think we should go for Trufant. Not as big as Rhodes but better in coverage..(which we sure could do better at)
