Must we win our Opening Game?

I would love to win week 1 through week 17 + week 19, 20, and 22

 

I don't think we need to necessarily win week 1 (unless we want the press on our side; we'll get that if we win that game)

However, if we lose weeks 1 and 2, then we're in trouble

 

We can't stomp on their wittle towel if we lose... so if we want to continue that tradition we need to win. And I for one would like to see the tradition continued.

 

I think that thanks to lendale, we have to win or else we will be taunted and it will be payback for stomping their towels. But if we win then there will be no doubt and people will know by week 1 that we are for real. That being said, it will be a big game only because of the towel thing. But when you look at it, we are lucky that we get them in week 1 instead of like week 12 or 13 when the run to the playoffs start. Bottom line it's a huge game for the media to jump on, but for us it's just week 1.
Oh did anyone know that the steelers last lost came from us? Just found that out. That would be great to give them their last lost last yr and first loss this year. Go Titans

 

I think its important and would give us a huge confidence boost if we beat the defending champs at their place right off the bat espically going into that tough stretch of games right after that. But if we did lose i dont think it would be the end of the world either for us. Its a long season but we all know that every game is important espically when its in the conference when determining not only home field but who gets into the playoffs. With that being said,i say we beat them at their place and start the season 1-0.

 

Durrr!!!

It was week 16... then they played the Turds... easy win... Then came the playoffs. Obviously they won the Super Bowl, so that means their last lost would've had to be to us.

 

Why is that lucky? We beat them easily during last years playoff run. Not like they play harder and we play softer at that time of the year...

I must say; we have a team that is very similar to the Steelers, and that makes us familiar with their game plan. The key to winning this game is to execute. Pittsburgh knows us, we know them. Which ever team can follow through on their own game plan should win. If our defense can dictate to their offense as we did last season, then we've won. I should only hope going into this game our offense will win the game, and let the defense not lose the game (reverse of how Tennessee's done things) but that may catch everyone off guard.

 

We should but im more worried about that PATS game if anything but honestly win or loss we should be ok..as long we compete..
