I got nothing against Vince Young, especially from a talent/production stand point.

But, this team is all about Jake Locker going forward.
Its about changing the mentality of the team and it starts top down with leadership from the QB.
Keeping Vince around would only be a distraction and would take away from Jake's progress.
Vince would fail to provide the a QB mentor's guidance and professionalism.
Not to mention keeping Vinces creates the potentially risk of dividing the locker room.

Also, they've already said that Vince is gonna be released/not part of the team.

everyone that brings VY up never talks about his lack of effort to improve Monday-Saturday or his toughness on Game Day , guys like Big Ben and Favre will play with broken noses and busted up shoulders the first sign of pain on VY and he wants to hit the shower early. he has no drive to win, he doesnt love the game enough ,VY is not a leader. he has some physical talent that he was born with but it stops there.

What ever teams lands VY will have the same issues we have. he will do pretty good against sub par defense teams but when he faces a good D he will crack under pressure.

Didn't VY ultimately get the boot for an argument that started because Vince wanted to go back in the game?

Gotta play devil's advocate here. What if Locker busts?

why was VY out of the game to start with? this is the NFL, VY has to learn to play in pain.

(Note: First post since my labtop got broken in May!!! I missed talking football with you guys)

If Locker busts it will be after he has given everything he has to our organization. Unlike Young he will not fail due to repeatedly screw ups and being a general d-bag and I can live with that.

I'm not sure what you mean by busts....but

Going by the standard definition of bust then I guess the same thing will happen with any other franchise that fails to develop their QB of the future into a franchise QB.
3 years down the road if Locker 'busts' then this entire coaching staff will be fired, a new regime will come in and draft another QB and start over.

Locker will probably be given a second chance by some coach (Mike Shanahan) and lead that team to a superbowl? ;)

He obviously couldn't. Otherwise he would've never gotten into an argument with the coach about playing through the pain.

    CJ-
    BTW-
As hard as it is to believe there's been on and off rumors that Mike/Kyle have interest in Vince Young.
