Munch wired for sound Vs. Texans

Who is writing a book? Easy with the "sage" role- OK?

The team was whipped (again). They appeared GROSSLY unprepared to play. The video shows Munch befuddled. Nobody is drawing conclusions that Munchak is inept. People are simply expressing concern over what they have seen both in the team and particularly, how Munchak appears to be handling the situation. Although they are just concerns, they are valid until the team starts performing better.

 

lol everyone here should be professional speed daters. BEcause im sure they can tell everything about a girl and if shes right or not in just 4 minutes. It's quite remarkable. The NFL knowledge in this room is astounding. I don't get why none of them applied for the job since they know how to coach

 

NFL Films does their best to make the "mic'd up" features interesting...

and THAT is what they compiled.

So yes, it is fair to judge him off that.

Nah, I'm not saying he's necessarily a terrible coach. I'm just not convinced he has what it takes to win consistently in the NFL. Hence 3 victories and 3 losses (2 of which were absolute blowouts). But as I've said before, he's very new at this. So I'm willing to give him a chance. I think we all are. We're just calling it like we see it. He could turn out to be a great coach. But so far he's not giving us much reason to believe that will actually be the case.

 

lol yea im pretty concerned. Why didn't we see munch calling plays. He should have been in guys faces. That's how you win a championship.

Have we EVER seen munch show a ton of emotion. Those "clueless" looks were there when we beat teams too. It's how he is.

 

And can we please stop with the "You don't have NFL experience" crap. If that's the requirement for having an opinion then what's the point of even having a discussion forum?

 

There's more than one way to win a championship. You can do it with the kind of coach that yells and gets in players' faces and you can do it with a reserved, analytic coach.

I really don't have a problem with Munch not screaming and stomping up and down the sidelines during a game provided his actions send a message in between games. Time will tell if they do.

Some of you are rushing to judgement on a matter you have no right to be judging with the evidence you have (a few minutes of video and 7 weeks of Titans football). I don't think I'm better than you by pointing that out, as Riverman indicated. I can simply recognize what I don't know (namely, if Munchak has was it takes to succeed in the NFL) and what none of us knows and I'm not going to pretend I do know it.

I think it's fair to be concerned about Munchak at this point, but it's foolish to declare him a failure already.

 

Good post Toronto. I agree. I'm by no means declaring him a failure already. But if I had to bet based on the evidence I have so far, I'd bet he won't be a very successful coach. Hopefully I'm wrong about that though.

 

Huh? Where did I ever see I need him jumping around or screaming? He just didn't even seem involved with anything and talked like he wasn't even part of it more like a fan.

 

No one is saying he has to jump up and down or yell. Why jump to this extreme?

He just has to act like he understands what is happening in the game.

Not so hard.
