Rumor Mularkey offered extension

What if you knew that the people being blamed weren't the problem? Would you still sell out?

That’s too broad a hypothetical. If I was told I had to let a coach go but didn’t have to change my philosophy, then yes I would “sell out”. If I had to change how I want the team to play, then no. These people are professionals and know it’s the risk of the job.

Coaches come in with new schemes all the time. In a year or two every DC in on to them. This is what happened here. Most games are won late in the second half, when the D is tired. If you can run the ball or throw short stuff you can tire them out. We failed most every game in running and TOP.

 

McVay took a QB who struggled as a rookie and gave him almost the exact same numbers Mularkey gave Mariota in his second year.
If Mularkey had Gurley last year we easily win 10 games.
My point is the change from 2016 for the Rams is almost identical to the change from 2015 Titans.

 

Let's try it this way. If your plays are not being executed properly, do you still can the guy, knowing it's the player, not the play itself?
