I don't care who we roll out in 2019, as long as we draft Sam Ehlinger in 2020!
Drew, Baker, and Sam will be the Austin 3!

Foles. Backup to mariota/half starter because Mariota has sand in his vag. Then next season he starts to give a draft pick time to groom.

The guy in 2020 to go after is Trevor Lawrence. If he keeps playing like he has his freshman year, he will be the best QB prospect to come out since Luck. (He will be eligible after the 2020 season for the 2021 draft)

And no to Ehlinger. I still have PTSD from the last Texas QB we drafted.

We planning on moving the team to Philly? Foles has sucked everywhere but Philly. And yes I know he has a SB ring :)

I am all for Siemian. He'll be a FA, and he actually pioneered a 3,400 yard 18 TD/12 INT season (Gabbert has never surpassed the low 2,000s and 12 TDs-always got benched). He'd be a noticeable upgrade and could give us reasonable low level starter play.

Look at what Taylor did in Cleveland. He got the start for what? 6 games?

I can get on board with that.

Also, would be good to have a QB3 for a change

Baker was always going to take over. #1 picks dont sit, dont care what mid level QB you signed.

Yeah, this is what worries me. Any potential bridge QB like Taylor, Bridgewater, or Foles will cost too much to pair with Mary's 21M. And any cheap alternative to Gabbert isn't going to be much better so why bother making a veteran with no upside learn a new system? We would be better off just keeping Gabbert.

Drafting a QB would be an inexpensive way to get a new QB in here with potential upside. But if Mary goes down again I don't like our chances with Gabbert and whatever scraps we pick up in the draft.

Our QB situation sucks from top to bottom right now.
