Completely agree. Odds are Delanie starts declining sooner rather than later - like someone said he's 34. Jonnu had a few good plays last year but has a long way to go. Supernaw and Stocker are ok, but none of them are going to replace Delanie's production.

I don't think it's likely, especially in the 1st round, but I wouldn't be surprised to see us take a guy in the mid rounds if the draft falls that way. Remember J-Rob comes from the Pats who had success with 2 TEs for a few years with Gronk and Hernandez.

A guy I really like is Troy Fumagalli. Really athletic but will drop down some draft boards because he's missing a finger. Could probably get him in the 4th.

 

Exactly. We all know how important having a receiving TE is. Think Eagles with Ertz, and Pats with Gronk, etc. Delanie will decline soon. I could see them planning ahead while Jonnu is figuring it out. I guess time will tell. I’d probably give Jonnu this year and grab a TE next off season, but if the right guy falls, we all know Jrob will do it. Side note: what’s up with people and missing digits/hands this year? Lol

Exactly Brave. I believe Jonnu can be good, but he needs to improve his routes and blocking. It’s not my first choice, but I wouldn’t hate if we got a stud receiving TE. It makes everything else better, especially in the red zone. Delanie won’t be bailing us out forever...

 

I think having that Safety to pair with byard is a need as well.

 

The TEs this year are not so hot. So first round is probably not the best move.
