I have no interest in arguing, and some good points were made here. I do think the following points need to be added (or I missed them in this 4 page debate). 1. Offenses did start skewing deep pass heavy after the DPI and roughing the passer rule changes. 2. Defenses adapted and focused more on speed in the secondary and/or more zone schemes. 3. Offenses are now adapting back and going with bigger packages and rushing attacks. 4. Less and less teams are using a primary featured RB and more than usual are using a 2 or 3 RB committee.
