He's fired "friends" before. Before this season it was Bratkowski.
Yeah a ST coordinator. He doesnt fire Robiskie because he believes in this 1940s offense.
The Titans didn't improve this year. They just happened to get in this time with a 9-7 record. Then they beat a chiefs team without it's best offensive player. Plus, they only did that when they went away from the team game plan. And then they went back to the same trash game plan the next week.
Why have we not heard an announcement yet dismissing the W.O.A.T and his cadre of geriatric ******'s?
Not that it got any better.
And to be real, a large reason they improved in 2016 was because Robinson brought in Murray, Mathews, Conklin, Jones, Fasano, etc. And got rid of locker room pariahs like DGB and Wright. NOT because of outstanding coaching.
Yep, context matters. Nobody watched the Titans this year and thought they were well coached. Romo spent half of last night implying that Mularkey was making terrible decisions and holding the team back.
Until I see a interview with JRob and/or AAS who say things will remain as is, I don't put a lot in Mularkey's interview today.
Usually, a coach going into his final year after taking a three-win team to win a playoff game should expect a contract extension. I'm not hearing any extension talk.
yeah, If we dont hear something by Monday, im pretty sure they are going to let it ride.
I wonder if it wont turn into one of those situations, where they want him to make staff changes, he sticks up for "his guys" and they mutually agree to part ways.
I honestly think that might have been the whole rub in the first place, and why he was on the hot seat.
