Harris is a young guy who has experience at both OG and RT. This was his first year moving inside to OG and he graded out as a top 30 OG per PFF. The Vikings have only offered him a 2 yr 3.5mil dollar deal. If we signed him and drafted Tunsil then let him play OG. If we don't draft Tunsil then he could be a RT.

We could do the same thing with Schwartz as he has some experience playing inside, but he would be much more expensive.

Young guy with experience and flexibility in playing multiple positions....thats what I'm looking for if I'm a GM.

30th ranked Guard doesn't sound half bad, but thats why I hate any kind of rankings. Whats his PFF Grade, that'll tell me everything I need to know. Id guess he grades out around a 1.1 to 3? Which would make him "average" by PFF standards.

Its an improvement from Schwenke who I remember receiving a -13 in 2014 (didn't even qualify to be ranked that year)

PFF is crazy. I don't need to know if a player played 1.67% of his 32nd game with his left shoe untied.. Does he do his job right? They try to dig way too deep into things and a lot of the time the grades don't translate to the game, IMO.

Actually they dont dive in deep enough, which is their only true knock.

They also devalue easy plays, so you could throw a bunch of TD's but if they were short slants or something easy they dont give the credit thats deserved.

But they do hold every player to the same standard with no biases. Their content has some worth

I'm sure every coach checks a players PFF score before deciding what they're capable of.

It's a system of numbers that don't always translate to production on the field.

Damnit, why did you have to quote that before I edited? Lol

But, yes, we can all agree Griffin was way beyond his prime.

PFF sucks. We've been over this.

Wouldn't mind signing a guard, but I'm also hopeful Poutasi gets a chance.
