Yep, and when I see it in regular season action (when all of the players are really "amp'd up") I will begin to believe it. Until then it is great talk, but that is all it is to me.

I get that....but I seem to remember him going "gladiator" a couple of times last season as well. It may not have gotten him hurt then, but it increases the likelihood of him getting hurt if he continues this.

I agree that he appears to have matured beyond this in the preseason, but I want to see how he reacts to real game pressure before I say he has gotten past this.

We talk about locker and his injuries, our backup is missing a valuable amount of playing time this preseason with his injury.

I finally got to watch the Atlanta game last night as the replay aired 1am Tuesday.

It was against the backups, but I'm kind of excited about Metts arm. He can throw a bullet and seems to have the accuracy to match. I want to see locker in every game this year and stay healthy, I'm backing him 100%. But I'm excited to see what Mett can turn into over the coming years.

    RTH Meh...

Mettenberg reminds me of Favre. A gunslinger. Willing to sling it anywhere and everywhere.

I said it after the first game... Mettenberg might be the greatest 3rd QB we've ever had!

We don't have to sh*t on Jake to praise Mett. I love Mett and I do eventually want to see him start for us but Jake is doing a good job of holding the young buck off. After all the crap we've been through with Jake to shorten the leash on him now would idiotic. He's playing well and in my eyes he did enough to hold the job. Everyone is biased to an extent but we can't be so biased that we ignore facts.

Roos on the other hand has lost the battle with Lewan. Oher looking pretty decent too.
