McCarthy ready to unveil tinted shield

Expect ours plays LB. I said it from the start, Colin will be great if he can stay healthy. He's proven through 2 years that he can't. It's time to find a backup, don't be surprised if we draft a ILB around the 3rd-4th (or Te'o).. McCarthy will be the starter but as soon as he goes down, we need to have a backup ready.

 

Bob Sanders is due for a 100% healthy season too. Just have to take the wait and see approach

 

Bob Sanders has had repeated injuries for years now. Not necessarily a good comparison imo. Fred Taylor had repeated injuries for several years at the beginning of his career, and then had several great injury free years afterward. Sometimes players just have a string of bad luck with injuries that goes away and never returns. It concerns me that he had a concussion bad enough to miss this much time and the Titans are going to put him back out there asap. I wouldn't let him return at all this season. No reason to risk turning him into another Brian Westbrook or Austin Collie. He obviously suffered a pretty serious concussion.

 

Dan Morgan was a bad ass MLB, it would be great if Colin McCarthy were to get that good.

 

McCarthy has too? Did you ever see him in college... no, because he was hurt half the time.

 

Yes, I remember him from college. Watched him play a few times at least. I have no idea about his injuries in college though. If that's true, then he does have more of an injury history than I was aware of.

 

This is just going off memory, but I believe he did something his soph year to his shoulder.. caused him to miss most of the reason. He recv'd a med redshirt due to his shoulder. He then hurt his ankle his Jr season and missed a game or two, but caused him to play at like 80% all year. Senior Year I believe he missed a game due to a concussion.

 

Only when he was healthy. Which was very rare!

 

Must not be much to write about today

 

If the guy is still battling injuries then we shouldn't even be playing him. Let him get better, makes no sense to let him play when he's still trying to heal. It's not like we have any meaningful games left this year. He was voted captain for a reason, dude has a ton of heart and can ball. We know that he plays his ass off so might as well just sit him out and let him rest.
