I like stats... They help compensate for perception bias. The stat I have been touting for years on this forum is ESPN's Total Quarterback Rating (QBR) On this stat, in prior years, Mariota has always come out mediocre, not bad not good. I think the lowest he finished a season was 17th best in the NFL, and his best season he was 12th best. This represents his inconsistent play, great one week, terrible another, with good and bad games equaling each other approximately. But this season.... This season.... Mariota is currently ranked 28th in QBR. Horrible. While some of this can be attributed to terrible O-Line play, I find it disturbing.
