Mariota 2019 (all tings Mariota)

Was it though? Second game in a new offense( yes Arthur has been here, but it still a new offense) and with a makeshift line that was a sieve at times.

Was this really THE game to prove it?

Here is my thing. After 3 winning seasons, I don’t want to go back. I don’t want to go back to the QB hell of searching for the one that can do it. I believe Mariota can be the QB. I just hope he fully proves it.

 

All Mariota stats tell me is that he will not get franchise type money. It's going to be a 3 year deal something similar to brisset. This gives us a chance to keep players like Logan and other key players.

 

I'm writing him off because of five years, not two games. Hth.

I wish I had drugs that would get me high enough to think Mariota is a good qb.

 

To me personally if he bombs Thursday, start Tanne . But as an organization they may want to let it go 1 or 2 games longer . Now if Tanne comes in throwing picks and doing bonehead stuff we’re really screwed. Mariota’s conservatism and athleticism fits this team more than someone reckless (not saying Tanne is reckless) because of the D and running game . I’m getting tired of it too but in all reality it was 1 bad game this season in all fairness and he deserves and will get the chance (or chances) to bounce back.

 

I look at it this way. Mary under center gets us nowhere. At best a wild card berth and a playoff trouncing.

Maybe tannehill gets us more. Maybe he doesn't. Whatever. I'll take the bag with a question mark on it over the flaming bag of dog poo at this point.

And if tannehill comes in flinging picks all over the place, so be it. Sets us up better to draft a real qb.

 

I think playing Mary will actually help us lose more games so we can get a low draft pick.

Our defense is really good though which will get us atleast 6 wins
