I really don't understand how some people can still have hope that 8 can be a franchise QB. I mean after what we saw yesterday, really?? He's making mistakes rookies make and we’re in year 5 lol. Whats it gunna take? An interception on 10 straight plays? Lol. Id really like to know from the few supporters left out there. What is it gunna take for you to accept the fact that MM8 is trash.

 

Year 5 and same excuses. Line sucks, receivers suck, coaches suck. Why not look at the common denominator?

RIP O Line excuses

 

That one play isn’t the ONLY play. I’d look past it if it was. You have a 5th year player making a rookie mistake. I can list about 20 plays for which Mariota could be fairly criticized.

And the teams rises to the level of their QB. There is a reason that great teams miss very few opportunities to make plays.

 

That play actually wasn't that bad, had we ran a play and it ended up incomplete, we would've been in the same 4th and 2 scenario, but with less time on the clock. So our only option at that point would be a pass to the sidelines. Had AJ caught the ball, we had time to get up and spike it for a chance at fg.

So of all the bad Mariota plays yesterday, that one is pretty low on my list.

 

Not really. Even Mariota admits its was a bonehead play. Why waste a play? Should called a hitch, quick out or just ran for the sideline would have left 11 seconds and time for one more quick out to pick up another 5-15 yards.

And like I said- it wasn’t the ONLY bad play. That one was just really bad for a 5th year QB.

 

The O-line has major issues especially in the middle.

However Mariota does nothing to help out.

How he moves in the pocket and how he scrambleds is horrible any small error our Oline makes and is a sack.

Jacoby Brissett yesterday was able to get away from atleast 5 sacks yesterday Mariota brings non of that to the table.
