Mariani to get pushed?

the only time i remember him fumbling was the Denver game his rookie year when the game was on the line.... but he ran it back for a TD earlier which kept the game close...

 

Mariani has been a well above avg. returner. I think Munch values the comfort in knowing what Mariani can do. Mariani is safe in my book. Would be totally shocked if he didn't make the final roster. I really don't think they drafted Wright to be a return specialist. He didn't even do much returning in college.

 

I feel like I'm inclined to agree with you here. I just don't see that value in using your first round pick to do the majority of the returning. Hell, the KR job is pretty much gone due to the rule changes.
