[in hindsight] Bouye is better than Logan Ryan obviously, but i still think they are both #2 CBs. Bouye didn't have to cover anyone elite because of Jalen Ramsey. if we would of signed Bouye i think it would of been the same situation as Logan's. We would of been disappointed because Bouye isn't a true "shut down corner". I think Logan Ryan is a decent cover corner, but if there's no pass rush then there are gonna be guys who eventually get open. Marshon Lattimore at #5 is probably the only regrettable miss this season but i still have faith Corey Davis will be a dawg.

Why? Please explain to me why Reed has more potential. And if you say because PFF gave him a high grade coming out of college two years ago I'll lose it. We all want Mr. Irrelevant to be, well, relevant, but he hasn't shown much since entering the league. Hell, even "Mr. Nobody" Tye Smith leapfrogged him on the depth chart.

 

Bouye is really good in coverage, but he sucks at run support and open field tackling. Belichick covets CBs with those traits and I'm sure Robinson is the same way.

 

CBs that can tackle are hard to come by.

Watching Adoree Jackson stick it to guys twice his size is one of my favorite things to see on Sunday.

 

As good as Lattimore was for New Orleans, I am really excited for how good Adoree was and can be.

That being said, I wouldn't hate a solid contract for Butler so Ryan could move to the slot, where he's just better. And for anyone that gets annoyed at paying a nickel CB $10M/yr, this is a different league. Three starting CB's are almost a requirement now.

 

Some teams are spending twice as much on CB's as we do.

Adding another CB is almost a must for us, I dont really trust Sims, Reed, and Smith to be the nickle, and as much as teams deploy 3-WR sets its not a stretch to spend big on CB's.
