His long ball accuracy is a good fit.
To me he is to short and takes way too many sacks. I am just not that impressed. I like upside of Corrall better. I think we leave qb alone this year. It is just not a good year for qb's in the draft.
His OLine was trash last year. He can be coached up I think. He is 6’1” but thick and muscled up. I think he could develop well. I’m not seeing a Mahommes in this group, but they have some guys who will surprise. Besides, every year the scouts and talking heads get it wrong. My problem is we need more than we have higher draft picks. We need at add at least 1 probably 2 starters to the O-line, a corner when Caleb “Fraily” can’t go, and a WR until Woods is full strength (and beyond). Trades or upcoming cuts will have to be part of the equation or the offense is in trouble.
Tom Brady taken in the 6th round.
Matt Hasselbeck 6th rd.
Mark Rypien 6th rd.
Joe Theismann 4th rd.
Bart Starr 17th rd, 1956.
Roger Staubach 10th rd, 1964
So, a handful of guys, and none in the last 20 years. Got it.
Thanks for helping prove my point.
