I'm sure that was an exaggeration but I legit know and heard people that have no idea who our coach is.

Sadlly, Fisher is the longest tenured and most notable.

It is absolutely a tourist destination, far more than most cities with NFL teams. To quote Joakim Noah "I’ve never heard anybody say, ‘I’m going to Cleveland on vacation.’ And you can probably substitute Cleveland with about 20 other NFL cities.

Well, he said you want national attention, then go 13-3 and beat a bunch of play-off teams. That is correct in my evaluation. Winners get attention. Two 9-7 seasons don’t get you on a tee-shirt in a Wal-mart in Iowa.

    Yep.

And hosting the draft... Preds hosting championship playoffs... Nashville is simply not a well-known place.

Living outside of Tennessee makes this apparent.

Yea, that’s because you live there.

Just personally me, I don’t think I could spend a week in Nashville and not get bored. I still want to come up for a weekend and watch the Titans.

But... for example Orlando is a tourist city.

I don't remember if it was last season or the season before but the Titans beat more playoff teams than any other team.

Last season won a playoff game against a team nobody thought they'd beat.

I bet the national media played about 5 secs of highlights of the Titans game last week and muttered a handful of words. If that's the Pats, Green Bay, Dallas, hell even the Browns , it would be highlight reel after highlight reel for a week.

Of course Orlando and Vegas are probably the two cities built entirely around tourism. I would put Nashville more along the lines of a New Orleans. A fun city that attracts people for long weekends and that sort of thing.

And I dont disagree with the first part, but I think I can probably say that about any city outside maybe NYC, DC, and LA. Most cities arent built for week long trips IMO. I dont thin Cincy, Indy, Cle, Minnieapolis, etc etc are really places people look to go for week long trips either.

What a lot of people dont realize is these media outlets cater to the masses.

In a day in age where clicks drive sales it makes sense to talk about the big market teams.

I dont agree with it, but thats the reality of it.
