I was going to say, I think Thornton deserves it more than Keith this year, and I would be iffy on him.

Honestly I'm surprised (but pleased) KVB got in.

Thank goodness Vinatieri didn't make it!

    Since moving to Ten:
Pro Bowl 1997, AFC 26 - NFC 23 (OT), (February 2, 1997) - Eddie George, Bruce Matthews, Blaine Bishop
Pro Bowl 1998, AFC 29 - NFC 24, (February 1, 1998) - Eddie George, Bruce Matthews
Pro Bowl 1999, AFC 23 - NFC 10, (February 7, 1999) - Eddie George, Frank Wycheck, Bruce Matthews, Jevon Kearse
Pro Bowl 2000, NFC 51-AFC 31, (February 6, 2000) - Bruce Matthews (S), Eddie George (R), Frank Wycheck (R), Jevon Kearse (S)
Pro Bowl 2001, AFC 38 - NFC 17, (February 4, 2001) - Bruce Matthews (S), Samari Rolle (S), Blaine Bishop (S), Derrick Mason (S - KR), Eddie George (R), Jevon Kearse (R), Frank Wycheck (R), Brad Hopkins (R)
Pro Bowl 2002, AFC 38 - NFC 30, (February 10, 2002) - Bruce Matthews (Center - R), Jevon Kearse (R), Gary Walker (Injury Replacement - DT)
Pro Bowl 2003, AFC 45 - NFC 20, (February 2, 2003) - Kevin Carter (R)
Pro Bowl 2004, NFC 55 - AFC 52, (February 8, 2004) - None.
Pro Bowl 2005, AFC 38 - NFC 27, (February 13, 2005) - None.
Pro Bowl 2006, NFC 23 - AFC 17, February 12, 2006 - Steve McNair (as injury replacement), Kyle Vanden Bosch (as injury replacement)
Pro Bowl 2007, AFC 31 - NFC 28, February 10, 2007 - Vince Young (R)
Where it was listed S = Starter, R = Reserve. In addition; Kevin Mawae made 6 pro bowls as the starting Center since 2000, but all as a New York Jet. One list has Steve McNair in 3 Pro Bowls, but I see only one. Maybe the other two were as a reserve?

I was going to mention the year we had 9. I used that stat a lot when arguing with those that said we didn't have much talent.

I bet the AFC starts the game without a safety.

Jags got the big snub. So did funky toe.

Mac's MVP season, he started for the AFC. Also managed one of my favourite plays of all time, a 90-yard TD pass to Chad Johnson. Good times.

Anyway, I'm thrilled that the three guys who worked so hard got their recognition, particularly since Al was the only one of the three leading by fan votes. KVB is only tied for 16th among sack leaders, which is likely why he was overlooked in the fan voting, but it's obvious that his drive and his talent have gained him recognition among his peers for all the things he does that doesn't make the stat sheet.

If K-Bull deserves a nod, it's only for being K-Bull. And hey, Troy Polamalu has made a Pro Bowl or two just that way (making last year's over Hope? PLEASE!), and it seems to me like Willie Parker is doing it this year... I hope Thornton gets some recognition sometime in the future...
