Kobe Bryant fined $100k for gay slur

    If the title doesn't tell you what happened, or you haven't watched the video yet, Kobe messed up to a degree. ESPN can't print the exact slur Kobe used, and I'm not so sure the words would be tolerated on this board, but the first word starts with an "F" and ends in an "ing", followed by another word staring with an "F" and ending with a "T".

    Now how bad is this to some?
    I'm okay with it honestly, the ref isn't part of the gay community so really, whats the big deal...? Kids watching right... I know thats what people are thinking. This was a terrible example. Well no, not really. If kids at home saw a late night L.A. game, chances are they probably didn't just see Kobe fling it around for the first time. So all in all, it was a severe sign of anger. You're allowed to be angry on the court.

    The real problem with this event, is that ESPN is making this a big uproar. The other problem is TMZ. I think the 3rd problem is Andrew Bynum. Is he really falling apart again? Right now when playoffs are starting up... That's the real story from last nights Spurs Lakers game.

    I got this great idea.... lets try NOT zooming in on the players faces when they're obviously pissed off....
    double standards here... kobe should fine espn for zooming in his face and not taking it off... i was watching the game... they could've easy just went back to the game there and not kept it on him for the whole time
