No. I think players are replaced easily with lesser quality. RB specifically because of the way they’re viewed, need to go for broke with monster paydays the first chance they get. That’s when they’re priced out of every team’s interest. So yea, by the time they’re 27-28-29, no team wants the contract regardless how it stacks up to other positions because often the step down (or in some cases a better RB is available) is acceptable for the team. stat sheet or not RB are not running for 1500 yards. Mind you that’s the 3rd time in 4 seasons after coming back from injury and no OL and a passing game that makes no effort to keep the defenders back. All that added together, you keep the clear best RB. There’s isn’t one better and the cost in general isnt that high at $16 mil, nevermind the $10 mil dead cap if another team doesn’t negotiate the contract.
