Kickoff Rule Change

Extra points should be eliminated too.. wouldn't want the kicker to sprain an ankle right?

 

You could have done all that before this lame azz rule was introduced. Is RollTide holding a gun to your head right now? It's usually him regurgitating some wild half thought up claims, just to fight with other fans.

You can definitely make the argument that they should be done away with. Extra points are converted about 99% of the time. Extra points have almost become a formality.

Why not add "more strategy" and have an extra point scrimmaged at the 2 and let the offense earn it while two-point conversions are at the five?

 

Because that would be an overload of awesome and our heads would explode.

 

So. Pointless.

 

Some teams might have before but not all. Now, with the new rule, every kicker can get it far into the endzone, before only the strongest legs could on a regular basis. You guys are dense, but continue to argu and tilt at windmills all you like. The rule is here, deal with it, hope your team (Titans) can use it to their advantage. No different than all the other rules that made it more difficult to play cover corner. Remember when a D back could actually guard a WR, ahh, the good ol day.

 

Yea I remember that, and I didn't like it either. It made the term "shut down corner" irrelevant. If this rule sticks, "return specialist" will die away too.

 

Can't stand it. Might as well just get rid of the kick off all together and place the ball on the 20yrd line. Maybe we should just get rid of tackle football all together...just too dangerous, just play two hand touch or maybe an NFL flag football league..lol!
