a future wes welker possible
Thats what I see. A potential Wes Welker and Randy Moss between Wright and Hunter. I wish Britt would have panned out as well. Our receivers would be unstoppable.
Nah, Welker doesn't exist with a bad or average QB.. He only flourishes with a great QB.
Heck, KW started the day with 2 more yards than Welker.
How about you show me where Welker has been great without Brady and Manning.
You didn't hear anything about Welker his first few years in the league he spent in Miami with studs like Cleo Lemon throwing him the ball did you? Welker needs a supremely accurate QB to play his game. Put him out wide with a mediocre QB and he would fall off the face of the earth. NE let him go because they knew this and saw him as a product of their system and felt they could replicate his production. Hasn't worked out though. I bet they never thought he'd end up in Denver so Welker did get the last laugh.
There are maybe a handful of receivers that wouldn't fall of the face of the earth with a mediocre qb. They can't pass to themselves. On the other hand.... every receiver is better with a better qb
You seem confused. You questioned me for saying Welker wouldn't be who he is today with Brady or Manning, then you say "every receiver is better with a better qb"?
I agree. Imagine if Tebow was still the Denver QB.
His stat line every game would probably be 2 receptions 14 yards.
