I know there isn't a lot of rap fans on this board, but both Kanye West and 50 Cent's new albums drop on the same day, September 11th. My question is, who do you think is better?

Graduation is a pretty sick album, and is something I'd definitely cop come the 11th; it's better than Late Registration, and close to College Dropout. Curtis is just more of the same, but their are a few cool tracks. Kayne is a much better artist overall, not even close IMO

    Best Joints off Graduation:

    Stronger
    Good Life (Feat. T-Pain)
Drunk & Hot Girls (Feat. Mos Def) <--- My personal favorite joint; greatness is amplified with how inebriated you are.

    Flashing Lights (Feat. Dwele)
Everything I Am (Feat. DJ Premier)

i'd have to say Kanye. He's a lot more worldly than 50. He makes music, not just rap. [Like him sampling Daft Punk for stronger and Collaborating with Adam Levine from Maroon 5 for Touch The Sky.]

To me, it's simple... Kanye all the way. Honestly, I don't really know what people see in 50. I've never really thought he was that good of an artist. But he sells for whatever reason. Lyrically, Kanye raps circles around 50. And in my opinion, Kanye is one of the best producers in the game, so his tracks are just plain better. Like Kami said, it's not even close.

50 actually came out saying that if Kanye outsells him on their new albums, 50 is gonna retire... i would love to see that happen

50 cent shouldve stopped after GRODT.

I never heard Power to the DOllar, his first album, though.

College Dropout is a modern day classic. Graduation, from what I heard, it all right (7/10) and LR was like 3/10.

I'd rather stab myself in the eye with a corkscrew then listen to fiddy. Kanye West is one of the best mainstream artists out there. He's an exceptional lyricist, very witty, and a awesome producer. He did a great job on Common's new album, Finding Forever.

The album I'm looking forward to is The Getback by Little Brother.
