    I rewatched this looking for a possible ending.
    I assume you mean the H-Bomb explosion?
    That would be from an earlier Japanese encounter with Godzilla in the 50's most likely.
    I have read that they are saying Godzilla has been around much longer than was shown in the orginal b/w film.. Apparently they attempted to blow him up decades before now..

    Made another interesting observation from the trailer, the part where it shows the big cloud of dust, and smoke stacks falling over, could be a possible anguirus appearance. He's the only one that ever burrowed underground, and could make up for the earthquake excuse. :3
