leading up to the draft, the man knock against Mccarthy was his durability or lack thereof. It seems that the scouts' suspicions were not unfounded.

If we move Mike Griffin before 2013 it will be a mistake. We had little to no options at FS this past Spring.

Franchising him would have meant losing ~$7M this year, but extending him meant only losing $4.3M this year (salary $2.5M + signing bonus $1.8M).

We'll be in the same pickle next Spring too, there are no worthwhile FS's in contract years right now, so our options will be limited once again.

If we had to franchise the former Pro Bowler again next year, it would have cost an arm and a leg, but by extending him in 2012 we save money in the long run (2 years)

Michael Griffin will NOT be a Titan in 2014, so the end is near. The goal was never to give Griffin franchise money, in 2014 his contract pays out over $6M, so he'll be gone. Only 1.5 more seasons of wanting him out. Time flys.

His ankle injury this year came in the first game when one of the fat boys rolled up his ankle during a play. You have 280+ pounds roll up on your ankle, it's gonna sprain it. And they haven't said it, but this very well seems to be a high ankle sprain, which take a lot longer to heal and come back from.

Not at all. Difference was - Finnegan was actually really good.

McNair... those things were about all he had going for him.

Where's Fry at.... I think it was him who pointed out just how bad Cortland really was last year.

I think Cortland gave up the most catches among top CB's....

Finnegan was only great with a good Dline. Otherwise he was just average. McNair won an MVP. Which made him great. Finnegan did win an all pro but that was when griffin and the rest of our secondary was a beast b/c of haynesworth and our line!

Finnegan is still better than any corner we got on our team though....Which is not good :(

Finnegan was the best nickel corner in the league. Dude gets rocked every time he plays a big-time wide receiver. The best career decision he made was going to a division where there is no legitimate QB...

Do you not realize our defense sucked last year too?

Finnegan is so overrated. Decent talent, stupid player. Cost us way too many times with those stupid UR 15 yard penalties.
