No. But we do take offense to thread after thread of the same topic with the same BS from the same posters.
The relevance to playing well against the Raiders is just showing that Tanny continues to do what he has been doing and does it on the road again. Just adding more to his sample size. If Tanny gets hurt like he has in the past then if I were the GM I would have a hard time giving him a big time deal. If Tanny stays healthy and continues to play well then it would be a no brainer to bring him back.
I think most of the mods have called it like it is with Mariota. If a Mariota thread gets deleted or merged it’s not because we have a man crush on the guy it’s because more than likely there’s a thread covering that topic already. You can only repeat the same stuff so many times. It becomes nauseating and people get tired of it. If you are new it’s one thing but some of the regular members start threads on every little topic instead of just using a previous thread. Believe me people are still going to open that thread to debate and complain. We are just trying to minimize those threads and keep the board enjoyable. I wouldn’t take it personal that’s for sure.
Yeah sure, sign Mariota for 10 years for league minimum. We can keep him as a backup. Pretty sure anyone with a lick of football sense would recognize it for what it was... fool's gold. Mariota will have some good games, but he will also have terrible games. Don't fall for the scam.
Or here's another what if scenario - What if Tannehill gets hurt, then Mariota comes in, gets hurt on the very next play, and Derrick Henry takes over as our starting QB. He does so well that we just run the Wild Henry all the way to the SB. Titans decide to not carry a QB and pay Henry $30M/yr. I think JRob is probably about as worried about this scenario as yours. Mariota is gone, get over it.
Everything you just said can be generalized to just THill getting hurt and Mm coming in and playing well. The exact game, score, time left, is not relevant.
Exactly what happened to Foles. Guy outplayed his talent in Philly (1 full year and during an incredible playoff/SB run) but ultimately showed where his talent level really is in STL, Jax now, Philly his second year under Kelly, and actually played to his talent in KC, a ready to go backup.
You go with RT. The front office knew that RT was likely going to be the guy when they traded for him. If MM, happened to play well, you shake his hand and wish him luck in free agency. MM is done here, no likely scenario of him turning it around is going to happen.
