Johnathan Cyprien to Titans

Not really... that's kind of an NFL trend right now to have bigger safeties play LB. The Cards with Philip Buchanon, Falcons with Dion Jones, Rams with Mark Barron, and more are trending that way. I'd expect that's how we'd plan on deploying Cyprien.

Had him as best safety available in free agency since Berry was franchised.

 

Did you see how often Byard was in the Box? Are you trying to tell me that we are going to put Cyprien in coverage? Or are you suggesting that the Titans popped their Free Agency 2017 Cherry on a nickel LB?

 

The Jags gave Barry Church, Walter's 4th rated S, 4 years and 24 million because they thought he was an upgrade.

I like Walter's site because of the volume and the weekly mocks, but the information is generally garbage.

 

Not only possible, but also very likely. I have him on my list of players to be cut. Cutting him now would save $4.5M against the cap but waiting until June 1 to cut him would save $5.625M

 

We both know how great the Jags are at making roster choices.

About as good as the Titans, frankly.

 

Had to look up some stuff on this guy. He's pretty dang athletic with a 4.54 40, 38.5 vert, 9'11" jump and 18 reps at his pro day. He looks like a great in the box s with attitude. Not afraid to take on blocks or smack the ball carrier. I like this signing, gives us flexibility at the s position.
