Without diving into the contracts, isnt this around the same average per year he was set to make with the Texans?

So, it wasn't really about the money, so much as it was about getting out of Houston.

Whilst you can argue the Cardinals chances of making a superbowl are slim, they are still more likely than the Texans!

So, JJ took the same $ for a better chance of a playoff run.

For the Cardinals, it seems a weird move to make, to pay max $$ for a 32 year old injury prone player, likely on the decline.

Especially when they have someone like Reddick to lock up.

Apparently he’s not after the MAX dollar or a championship ring. He passed on more money and he passed on selecting a team that can win it all.
