Mike Vick after he started working hard or the Mike Vick that went to prison?

The Michael Vick that went to prison had a career high passer rating of 81.6. The Michael Vick that worked hard had a passer rating of 100.2, had his first season of 60+ completion %, first 3,000+ yard passing year and was an MVP candidate.

    Hard work beats talent.

Im not surprised, Locker is a high character guy. But to put things in perspective. Rusty smith was in the building at 6am every practice the week leading up to the Texans meltdown.....so yeahhhhh

Comparing Rusty Smith to Jake Locker is just silly

it's not a comparison. Im just showing that the effort may be there but we have to see production before we all get excited.

You still don't get it. Mike Vick is twice the player in Philadelphia than he was in Atlanta because somehow, prison miraculously reformed him into a hard worker. Guys like Vince Young have rested on their laurels foolishly thinking talent alone can carry them where they want to be.

Your choice to Bigtitan implies that Rusty Smith works harder than Mike Vick. I don't think that's true. Mike Vick has transformed himself into some kind of mobile, black Peyton Manning. While talent may be required, you are correct when you say "you need both", the greatest of the two is hard work.

Hardwork and toughness are 2 reason that Jake was a top 10 prospect.
Add to that he's got above average arm strength, mobility and playmaking.

Thankfully the question of: Hardwork vs. Talent?

Is moot because Jake has both.

I'm glad he was there "early", but I despise these kinds of stories. Pretty much half the team is there the first minute they can be there, but you handpick the guys that fit your agenda as a writer.

    This statement is not true.

Within a few hours of the doors opening, only 20-something guys were there. Locker was there significantly earlier than anyone else.

Sure, maybe it doesn't mean anything in the big picture. Don't question the veracity of the story if you aren't right, though.
