are you kidding
Yea I'd have to say he's become one of lockers biggest targets early in the season. Has had only that one gaff.
Locker still has bad accuracy. Good accuracy on the run but in the pocket, not so much. He over threw more than half of his deep balls and one he couldn't keep it in the playing field. However, Locker did a nice job on the last drive for a winning TD to the man Hunter.
All in all, Locker will always have accuracy issue and that is going to hurt this team when it counts. He had a good game but when facing a defense like this, should be able to exploit them like great QBs do.
Last thing, there is no need to put clutch and locker in the same sentence. It is way too soon to even think that with only 2 winning career drives under his belt. He still has much improvement with his accuracy issue.
you didn't watch today's game did you?
No i'm not kidding.
And CaseyTrain his first drop? lol. You watch the games yeah? He has dropped multiple easy catches this season. Is he worse than Britt? Nah, because he can actually block. I want to see him start catching what is thrown his way. TE's are a pita to cover, and I want Walker to be able to threaten a D to make it easier for Locker, CJ, Wright, Hunter and Nate to do work.
I'll admit, Locker should have hit D Wiliiams on the play before the Hunter TD..
Other than that, he played a damn good game and looked very good inside the pocket.
He had one bad drop today but he has caught I think 80% of his targets all year. He had one bad play against steelers but he has been blocking quite well since then. Wouldn't say a big let down. He has been a key for quite some drives so far this year. Walker isn't a Vernon Davis when it comes to a pass catching TE or we would of kept Cook. He is a guy that fits this mold of physicality in the run and a athletic TE that can play in different positions and go out making catches.
Locker had way more dropped deep balls than overthrows today. Nate missed two, Britt dropped one and Walker popped one up. And the non-PI on Hunter, which was an absolute dime.
I remember two overthrows. One to walker along the left sideline and the one to Williams in the middle.
He has shown improvement in the accuracy. Last year almost every throw was a jump ball. He's been hitting people in the hands for the most part.
On the move targets I will agree are his shaky areas. Him throwing it beyond the WR is hopes that the WR will make a play on the ball. He doesn't have to be amazing on dropping them in the bucket to win in this league so no biggie there.
Touch passes are something I havnt seen. His pocket awareness/pocket accuracy sure as **** has improved.
The game plan has to consistently play to his strengths. When I break this film down in the next couple days, I expect to see some impressive throws/routes because that's how I felt about the game initially.
He's still young, but it will gladly eat crow in saying I had some doubts lately.
Jake Locker. 23 for 37 - 299 yards 62.2% COMPLETION PERCENTAGE, 2 td, 96.6 QBR
