these 2 QBs are not that different. Bortles usually has more Yards, TDs and Turnovers however.

 

WTF man. Did you see how well our OL ranked in almost every category? QB pressures, Kline ranked as top 2 for interior pass blocking, Lewan and Conk were superior once again.

Fournette was a rook, injured, and inconsistent and only rushed for 1040 yds with a 3.9 average. Henry had 4.2ypc. Their OL was poor.

Their rookie Keelan Cole outperformed our #5 overall Corey Davis, and Dede Westbrook just about matched Davis.

Gut, let it go man. Mariota had a better supporting cast in 2017, they just underperformed. What would you say if we only got 1 reception from Delanie or Mathews? Because they got 1 rec for 17yds from ARob.

 

jwill, bro. these two guys were dealt totally different hands last year. I know bortles had his #1 out and dealt with injuries on o. But, mm8 had to deal with an inept coaching staff and you know it. there's no arguing that our staff last year held this team back. jax run game was much better and so was their d. There's also no arguing that, it's facts. mm8 has his issues, but to claim bortles is a better or even same level qb is stupid. the only reasone anyone can even say mm8 had a better supporting cast with a straight face, is because walker is on this team. but, how much help does he really give mm8 when he's the only one, one of 2 or one of 3 running routes on a passing down. our staff last year had way more to do with our problems than you or dw are stating.

 

But much of bortles stats his first couple of years came late in games he’d already lost for them. Numbers need context.

 

Fine, I'll admit Marcus Mariota had the most difficult path a QB has ever had in this league to success with the terrible coaching staff and horrible talent around him.
