Is Vrabel on the hot seat next season?

And if the glass QB breaks again, do we hold Vrabel accountable for that?

Well if he doesn't get at least 9-7 next year that would officially make him worse than Mularkey. Maybe he would be on the hot seat

 

Good grief. Haskins is not an NFL QB. If we drafted him, you’d be hyping up the next OSU QB in three years.

Shouldn’t be on the hot seat unless we start 0-4 or something. Coaching carrousels never get you anywhere. Much like a QB a coach should get 3 maybe 4 years as long as he has the team competitive.

 

Even Doug Pederson went 7-9 in his rookie year with Wentz.

Vrabel took over what would have likely been 6 to 8 win football team if Luck and Watson had played all of 2017. Vrabel is a rookie defensive-minded HC with essentially a rookie OC and went 9-7 while managing a horrible QB situation and fluky injuries right from week 1. The 2018 Titans didn't make the playoffs but they were overall a better squad than last year.

So no, it would be foolish to suggest Vrabel is on the hot seat based off of the 2018 campaign. If we regress next season then sure, his seat will start to warm up a bit. But he's a long way from that right now.

 

Funny how "hot seat" is an expression, but then heated seats (cars, toilets, etc) are considered a luxury.

Heated seats for the whole staff next year if they win in the playoffs!

I think outside actual misconduct for something there is a zero % chance of Vrabel going anywhere next year.

8-8 or less and he’s seat warms up a little for 20.
