Is Collins setting the bar to High for VY?

Didnt know there was a bar, until the Bears game

 

VY had a quad issue all of last season.

 

So that's why he was calling the wrong plays in the huddle...

 

As a running QB, he is going to have some sort of ailment or issue the remainder of his career. If he cannot play QB and use his arm when his legs don't work, is he of any use to us? Remember, this year he has a Knee issue? Would that be the excuse for the poor play if he was playing?

 

Honestly, I think the whole quad thing is overblown (wasn't it a hamstring?). I highly doubt he decided not to run because of a hurt quad. He might get caught when he normally wouldn't because of an injury, but it isn't going to change his decision making process.

I pulled my hamstring 3 times in college track, and while reinjuring it twice sucked, while I was running with it I was running fine, just sometimes slightly slower. The reinjuring came from overusing it (repeat 100m sprints) before it was fully healed. But after the last injury, I took a very light 6 weeks and then I was fine.

With a 18 week season (one week playoffs), the injury couldn't have been for the entire time, or most likely even half of the season.

 

I like how it was brought up at the beginning of this season to use as a built in excuse mentioning how it wasn't completely healed.

 

I figured the higher the bar the better......easier to pass the ball under and not trip over or run into.
