Is a 1080p HDTV worth buying?

    Oh no vivid was fugly. I think I went for standard on the tv's input, but then a lil custom tweaking on the 360's input.

    Looks like that's the Cnet tweaking guide I read about :thumb:

    yeah, not sure what there setup was, but the settings intended for the A2020 were WAY off in my viewing. I benefited somewhat from the White Balance adjustment ... but everything else looked off
    then again, it was designed for a set in a pitch black room

    i'd love to have 2 custom settings
    1 for lit/ casual viewing
    1 for reference theater

    btw... just watched PotC:aWE
    the wife asked me when I went out an bought the BluRay version
    it was not..it was the standard DVD played back on the Ps3 ... looked like typical Comcast HD broadcast to me (and her) - there was a little grain, but I did have some settings like Detail Enhance on and so on

    one of these days, I'm gonna set the output of the Ps3 to 480p and see what the SXRD does upscaling it to 1080p (if it even does that)
