i don't see why anyone who owns equipment that outputs a certain resolution would purchase anything that would not display it

Kinda on that note, I gots a question.

I thought I read that the 360 had recently been upgraded to do 1080p instead of just 1080i as it was originally designed for. I don't know if my new system falls in that 1080p category or not, but I thought what I read was saying there was a download you could do to upgrade the 360. Any idea on that?

yes.... wheneve you get around to plugging that thing in online, you'll get an update ...actually if you've never done it you should get 2 or 3

in the Dashboard ... go all the way over to the right to the settings
    >Console>Display>HDTV>1080p

i found out after the fact that the A2020 does NOT accept 1080p via component .. nor VGA for that matter ..... that's why I'm looking to upgrade to the ol HDMI unit -- however, the A3000 does accept 1080p over component

if you get into these settings and do not see 1080p as an option, you have yet to download the recent update (actually the 1080p update was months ago)

as soon as you connect to LIVE it will alert you automatically

    unplug your pooter
plug that extender in the back of the 360
go to SETTINGS>NETWORK>(SEARCH FOR NEW NETWORK)
    it'll do the rest

then the updates should come on their on

when you look at display.HDTV ... IS 1080P ONE OF THE OPTIONS ?
