The Titans were a battered bunch by the end of their loss to Houston on Sunday.

The offensive line suffered the brunt of the injury blow, as tackle David Stewart (fractured leg) was knocked out for the rest of the season. In addition, guard Steve Hutchinson (knee) missed a large portion of the contest before returning for a couple of plays. He’ll likely need an MRI to see how severe the injury is.

Tackle Michael Roos missed a couple of plays due to what appeared to be a leg injury.

Even starting center Fernando Velasco had to be helped to his feet at one point, the victim of a blindside block during an interception return.

Then there was wide receiver Damian Williams, who injured his hamstring and left the game after colliding with a security guard on the sidelines. Williams was limited in practice last week because of hamstring tightness.

On the defensive side of the ball, defensive end Kamerion Wimbley left the game in the second half and did not return because of an injured big toe. Wimbley said X-rays were taken of the foot and that more would be known about the injury on Monday.

Safety Robert Johnson was also carted into the locker room near the end of the contest with what appeared to be a foot or ankle injury, and he was limping noticeably after the game.

The time has come to tank the rest of the season. Play all the young guys and bubble guys. Get as high of a draft pick as possible.

I just want to see progression from Jake Locker. Our OL is in big time shambles.. We have an OL head coach along with Bruce Matthews and the OL is dysfunctional as it gets.

Some of these guys are probably just saving themselves for other teams and contracts. No one wants to play here even when were not out of the race.
