I'm from there, Rockford.

While Tn is perfectly balanced in terms of population with Memphis on one side and Knoxville and Chatanooga on the other with Nashville in the middle Illinois is the most unbalanced State.

The city of Chicago itself is 2.8 million people. The 2nd biggest city is Rockford with 150,000 unless Naperville has surpassed it.

The term "down state Illinois" is more of a political one not geographical denoting anywhere else but Chicago.

Best food city in the country, maybe the world is Chicago. Probably the best really big city to live in.

 

Chicago has more Eastern Europeans than any American city including New York.

In fact Chicago was said to have more people of Polish descent than any Polish city except Warsaw.

Chicago is where most of the blues labels are located so most of the top blues men live there and you have dozens of places to go hear it played.
