The lions have a very good left tackle in backus and daniel loper to play the right side but a guy like oher can play inside or tackle and loper is only signed for 1 year. In fact oher started at guard early in his career.

 

Well the thinking i'm sure is that pettigrew improves their running game and passing game.

Bryant johnson and ronald curry were signed to compliment their stud WR on the outside.

Derrick williams was drafted for the slot.

Pettigrew gives them a go to TE and improved blocking.

Maurice morris gives them a solid #2 back behind smith.

Loper was signed to play right tackle.

They did cover a lot of areas except the interior o-line.
